Who are we?
The Araráhih Kich! Master Apprentice Program provides Karuk Language students a chance to learn language with a Karuk Master Speaker. They practice immersive methods in both learning and teaching methods. They engage in weekly language sessions using araráhih (The Karuk Language) within the POD and master apprentice groups. The MA/POD is a collective of dedicated language learners helping each other in expanding their proficiency in language speaking.
The Master Apprentice Team
The Master Apprentice team is a smaller group of students working with Julian Lang, a Karuk Master Speaker. The MA group consistently meets weekly with the goal to increase their fluency within the Karuk language. Fluent speaker, Julian Lang, works closely with the students to keep them engaged in everyday activities with the goal to stay immersed the entire session.
